Here are some words from Catarina:
-How long have you been making?-
“A little over a year.”
-What other hobbies do you have?-
“I’ve always loved lettering, calligraphy, embroidery and yarn crafts like wall hangings/weaving and decorating. Playing with interior design with what I have is so much fun, I can’t wait to have the money and the home to really try my hand later on!”
-Do you have favorite things to do while creating?-
“I love to watch Criminal Minds and other similar shows while I make earrings. Something about the calming craft and the crime shows work well together!”
-What inspires you?-
“People and nature. I find that each person I meet and the little things that add up to make them special is what I love most. Similar to our world, I love to see those tiny details and colors and little intrinsic features that make places feel so magical.”
-What made you want to start creating?-
“I saw a TikTok of earrings made of clay and at the time it looked so simple, haha! I was immediately hooked and went straight to Michaels for cheap supplies and quickly realized it wasn’t so easy, but was certainly more fun than I knew!”
-Would you like to share any family info? Pets?-
“My favorite person to show each new pair I make is my mom and twin sister! Their opinions and style differ from mine but they are always so supportive and always have enthusiasm and kind words for my art.”
-What is your MOST FAVORITE item you have created?-
“I made a pair very early on of little strawberries for a friend and I’ve yet to recreate them! They were done when I was just playing, no real skill yet, but something about them and how cute they were have always made them feel so special.”
-What makes your shop unique? What is your specialty?-
“I think what makes my brand special is that I still haven’t landed on a niche but I add a little bit of myself in each and every design. Every pair I make is unique to that style and what trend I’m inspired by or technique I’m trying out and every piece feels special because of it.”
-What is the story behind your business name?-
“When writing out influences and inspirations for what makes me feel my most creative and inspired I kept being drawn to the word Wild. I have a wild spirit, wild wavy hair and I feel that art is a free and wild energy. When looking at colors (I love them all) and other brand moods I knew immediately that gold touches would be necessary. I happened across the Latin for gold, Aurum, and I knew!”
