-How long have you been making?-
“I started working under the name Peach Beast in 2017, and my work has continuously evolved since then.”
-What other hobbies do you have?-
“I am a hobby collector! I screen print, roller-skate, crochet, I love making playlists and cooking.”
-Do you have favorite things to do while creating?-
“I love listening to music. I really like punk, metal, rock, hip hop and 80s r&b.”
-What inspires you?-
“I draw a lot, and most of my designs come from drawings in my sketchbook. I’m also inspired by funny things that happen in my life. Awkward conversations, philosophy, pop culture…everything really! My work is fun and I have a dark sense of humor. I think people can relate to a lot.”
-What made you want to start creating?-
“I was making large scale paintings when I lost my studio space. I had to start working smaller, making things I could make in my apartment. I unexpectedly got a great response and started doing pop up markets. The rest is history!”
-Would you like to share any family info? Pets?-
“Nah.”
-What is your MOST FAVORITE item you have created?-
“I really love my smiley flame earrings. I think they encapsulate the vibe I’m going for with my work perfectly. They feel very y2k inspired, they’re cute, but also a little dark.”
-What makes your shop unique? What is your specialty?-
“All of my designs are inspired by my own drawings, artwork, as well as punk ideologies and existential philosophy. It sounds silly to say that earrings or t-shirts hold any kind of significant meaning, but I think they do! I think that fashion is an important part of culture and identity. It holds a lot of meaning for people and I try to take that into consideration with my work.”
-What is the story behind your business name?-
“I had a dream that my friend was yelling “Peach Beast!! Peach Beast!!” and I thought it was a great name!”
