Maker Spotlight – Get To Know The Face Behind The Brand.
Meet Natori from Honey Made Clay. Natori is from Temecula, California and has been creating earrings with clay and other materials for a year. She finds inspiration for her pieces from nature, fashion, and oddly enough, some of her daughter’s funky outfits. When this easy going Aquarius is not creating beautiful jewelry, her hobbies include hiking, reading, shopping, drawing, and painting. Natori enjoys listening to the “Hey, girl” podcast or any 90’s/2000’s playlist when she is in creator mode.
Honey Made Clay specializes in colorful and uniquely designed clay and non-clay earrings. Natori accepts custom orders and her website is listed in her IG bio.
Here are some words from Natori:
What made you want to start creating?-
“I’ve always been into creating whether it is drawing, painting, being in front or behind the camera, sewing you name it. I am definitely a DIY queen. I was on maternity leave and with the pandemic and my husband being away for deployment, creating literally helped me get through postpartum depression.”
What is your MOST FAVORITE item you have created?-
“Ooo… that’s a hard one. I would probably have to say between “Lizzie” and the “Laguna Beach” collection.”
Would you like to share family details?-
“I have a 10 month-old daughter and a wonderful husband.”
What makes your shop unique?-
“Developing my own personal style without mimicking others. Whether it’s a simple unique pair, or a bold statement piece that is one of a kind.”
What is the story behind your business name?-
“I spend many hours creating behind my desk and a lot of my inspiration comes from my daughter who is 9/10 right there by my side while I create things.”
