Maker Spotlight – Get To Know The Face Behind The Brand.
Meet Katie from Fiber and Craft. Katie resides in Helix, OR and has been in business for 4 years, but she’s been crafting her whole life. She is inspired by her children. When she isn’t creating she enjoys CrossFit, weights, and cooking. When she is in maker mode she enjoys watching Parks and Recreation or The Office.
Fiber and Craft specializes in polymer clay earrings and macrame wall hangings. Katie happily accepts custom orders and you can DM to purchase anything you see on her IG page. Be sure to keep an eye our for her new collection dropping on May 23rd.

“I needed an outlet to help relieve stress.”

-What is your MOST FAVORITE item you have created?-
“The collection I created to raise funds for Indian residential school survivors and their families.”
-What makes your shop unique? What is your specialty?-
“The clay market is very saturated. That challenges me to keep learning new techniques and trying new things.”
-What is the story behind your business name?-
“Initially I called my business EM fiber craft, but decided to change my name after I started making clay earrings. It’s a name that will grow with me if I continue to diversify.”
