Maker Spotlight – Get To Know The Face Behind The Brand.
Meet Cameryn from Coffee & Clay Goods. Cameryn lives in Sacramento, CA and has been creating her mind-blowing creations from polymer clay since February of 2021. After her decision to switch to mostly making miniature foods, going to the grocery store and fun restaurants are her main sources of inspiration. Her hobbies include thrifting, listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family. When she is creating her mini masterpieces she listens to music and watches Parks and Rec and The Office constantly.
Coffee & Clay Goods specializes in mini earring creations made from polymer clay. She offers a vast assortment of the most adorable and detailed mini foods, and I am not talking about a strawberry, I am talking about a whole meal recreation, but itsy bitsy. She also offers magnets, necklaces and trinket dishes. Cameryn happily accepts custom orders and her Etsy store is located in her IG bio.
Here are some words from Cameryn:
-What made you want to start creating?-
“What started as covid boredom and frustration around not being able to find a specific pair of earrings that I wanted turned into a full fledged small business. I wanted a pair of knife earrings (picture a silver knife you’d see in a horror movie) but couldn’t find ones that I liked so I decided to make them for myself!”
Would you like to share any family info? Pets?-
“I have a wonderful mother, father, brother, and cat (her name is Luna and she’s basically my child)”
-What is your MOST FAVORITE item you have created?-
“Anything involving toast!”
-What makes your shop unique? What is your specialty?-
“I think my growing focus on specific foods (filet of fish, impossible breakfast sandwich, etc.) is what makes my shop unique. Mini foods are definitely my specialty.”
–What is the story behind your business name?-
“After days of name consideration and with lots of help from friends, I finally decided to combine my two favorite things which are, you guessed it, coffee and clay!”
