Maker Spotlight – Get To Know The Face Behind The Brand.
Meet Booth from B.Sartain Creative. Booth lives in Memphis, TN and has been creating her entire life. She finds inspiration in color, as she usually starts her work with color. Then she figures out the shape and design, but color inspiration is always her go to. When she isn’t creating with clay, she enjoys weaving, painting, building things…you name it, she probably has the supplies to do it. She always says she is a Jill of all trades. If it needs doing, she can do it! When she is creating she is either watching a show or listening to audiobooks or true crime books/podcasts. A fun fact about Booth is that she was on Carmeon Hamilton’s HGTV/Discovery+ show called “Reno my Rental” as a guest artist where she painted a custom calligraphy wall. A photo has been added to the carousel for your viewing pleasure!
B.Sartain Creative specializes in statement polymer clay earrings that are colorful, joy inducing and unique. You can also find home goods creations in her shop. Booth gladly accepts custom orders and her website can be found in her IG bio.

Here are some words from Booth:
What made you want to start creating?–
“My mom is an artist and my dad used to be a practicing architect/builder, so art has always been my path I think. After transferring around to a few different colleges I ended up at Memphis College of Art, where I got a BFA in printmaking with a focus in paper making, letterpress and book arts. The lady who ran the supply store taught me the ways of clay, and after a number of years not applying those skills, I came back to it, and things just took off from there. So now I have a creative business involving calligraphy, graphic design, murals and of course polymer clay and sometimes resin earrings and accessories.”
Would you like to share any family info? Pets?-
“I have been with my husband for 11.5 years and we have a beautiful 4 year-old daughter named Gilly. We have one dog (Moby), two cats (Grey and Olive), a fish named Tina, and three snails (Marty, Bo Peep and Barry White).
What is your MOST FAVORITE item you have created?-
“Oohhh this is a hard one. Lately, the bow earrings I decided to release the week before Christmas.”
What makes your shop unique? What is your specialty?-
“I think I produce at a high rate, but quality doesn’t suffer. This past summer I did a series of hand painted and 3D clay earrings that I totally fell in love with and I’m looking forward to more inspiration to create a new collection in that vein this spring.”
What is the story behind your business name?-
“I never could settle on anything that I liked other than my name, so B.Sartain Creative became the name since I do many facets of making.”
